Shipping: our shipping methods and options

Modern online shop customers are becoming increasingly demanding. They expect a high quality of service when it comes to shipping. In addition to the delivery time, the available delivery options are also an important aspect of online shop fulfilment. Active Ants understands this very well and therefore offers a wide range of shipping methods and options. Together with the transporters bpost, DHL Parcel, La Poste, PostNL, FedEx, GLS, Fietskoeriers, UPS, Correos, Swiss post and Deutsche Post, we make sure all online shop orders are delivered to your customers quickly and safely.

Sharp cut-off times and same-day delivery

A fast delivery time is essential to many customers, regardless of when they place their order. To make sure orders are delivered as quickly as possible, Active Ants employs a standard cut-off time of 23.59 in the Netherlands. All orders placed before that time will be delivered the very next day.

Customers who want their products even sooner can use the same-day delivery option; orders placed before 12.30 will be delivered that same day.

Pick-up points

Not all customers want their order delivered to their house. Sometimes, it is more convenient to have orders delivered to a local pick-up point instead. Active Ants therefore offers customers the option to have their order delivered to one of the 3,000 PostNL pakjegemak, DHL or bpost pick-up points. Consumers can pick up their order at a time that suits them best.

Customers who live near Active Ants can even pick up their package from the Active Ants pick-up desk in Nieuwegein. It is open every day until 22.00.

Timeslot delivery

Customers who want their order to be delivered to their house at a time when they are guaranteed to be home can pick a date and timeslot for the delivery. To do so, consumers choose their preferred time of delivery in your online shop itself.

With the help of an advanced logistical module and thorough agreements with our transporters, we make sure packages are delivered to consumers at their preferred date and time.

Special Magento shipping module

To offer all these different shipping methods and options, Active Ants has developed a shipping module plugin for MagentoCommerce. This plugin is available to all our clients. After installing it, you can offer all aforementioned shipping methods to your customers in your own online shop.

Based on the selected preferences, the Magento shipping module instantly calculates the shipping costs of an order. Once an order is placed, Active Ants will immediately initiate the right shipping flows to ensure the order is correctly processed, shipped and delivered. We also offer a range of shipping options for Lightspeed and Shopify.
